A/N: This is my first attempt at AC writing. Let's see if I can write it.

Warnings: Yaoi. Incest (to a very small degree). MxM, MxMxM. Anal. Slight Spoilers for AC Brotherhood (I did not write the same ending or circumstances to AC Brotherhood as I did here, so no spoilers for the ending)

Disclaimer: Ubisoft owns AC. I don't own any of the characters from Assassin's Creed 1, 2, or Brotherhood.

The Broken Apple
Prologue/Chapter 1
Crack!

"Cesare! You will pay for this, you bastard!" Ezio Auditore de Firenze swept his cape behind him in twist of black as he brought out his rapier, parrying as Cesare struck at his arm. The assassin caught his target's wrist, twisting it as the man reacted by slicing his sword into Ezio's midsection. The blow glanced off of the armor currently protecting him from harm: Altair's armor.

Altair was his Arabian ancestor, the greatest assassin of all time and now as the Italian fought his (hopefully) last enemy, he recalled all of the stories he had heard of the famous Assassin. How he restored the Brotherhood after his master's true identity was revealed... how he had children, how he had fallen in love, but could not break the creed for even her.

But the one strange thing was there was only a vague description of how he had died. A surprise Templar attack when he had been by himself....As Ezio looked up into the angry eyes of his foe, he smirked, jumping over the swing at his legs.

"I will not go down as a vague memory... My death will be known...but, today, you will DIE!" he whispered before he rolled out of the way of a sword careening above his head. As it thunked into the ground, the Italian found his opportunity, his hidden knife slipping between his fingers before he lunged forward.

Crack!

The Auditore stared unbelieving at the Apple of Eden that was currently cracking in Cesare's shaky hands. The ruler took a step back, Ezio dislodging his hidden blade as they both wordlessly watched the swirling orb break. Just as the assassin was about to take the advantage, smoke billowed out of the Apple, both men jumping back as the orb was dropped to the ground. As it struck the ground, everything was covered by the smoke, turning black as it condensed.

Ezio automatically covered his nose and mouth with his cape, eyes stinging as he stumbled backwards. The Apple was almost completely broken in half, lights flashing from within it as the Italian pressed against the wall nearest him. He could hear people screaming, even Cesare wailing frantically as his vision began to fade. Just as he was about to close his eyes, a white figure emerged from the Apple of Eden. It turned towards Ezio, a light against the dark smoke as he slid to the ground, unconscious.

What? What happened? I'm not de-synchronizing, so Ezio didn't die and I didn't do anything wrong but...where are we?

Desmond looked around, interested in the writings at his feet. They seemed to mostly be in Italian, though a few had touches of English. The place he was at was almost exactly like the loading screen, but different. It wasn't glitching like usual, and the writings were new. As he noticed that some of them sounded eerily familiar, a voice suddenly started talking.

"This is weird...what happened to Roma?" And Desmond knew Ezio was speaking and just as suddenly, Ezio was waking up in a finely decorated room, fully-armored as he blinked, trying to register what had happened.

A white-clad figure stood in the tall window, peering out casually before he glanced back, silver eyes startling Ezio before the stranger was across the room in a second.

"So, you are Ezio Auditore de Firenze... Good job on getting the title as Mentor, my little brother..." The slight accent alerted the Italian to the man's origin before the stranger pulled off his assassin's hood, smirking slightly at the startled look he got.

"You-you look like Altair-"

"That would be because I am Altair, my little brother..."
